Bio
Peter Hook & The Light is an English post-punk band formed in 2010 by bassist and vocalist Peter Hook. The project was created after Hook’s departure from New Order, and serves as a live celebration of his musical legacy with both Joy Division and New Order. The band performs extensive live reinterpretations of classic albums and songs from those groups, including *Unknown Pleasures*, *Closer*, and key New Order records. Their shows are known for faithfully recreating the original material while emphasizing Hook’s signature melodic bass style and lead instrumental approach. Beyond nostalgia, the project has evolved into a long-running touring act that has performed globally since 2010, regularly delivering full-album performances and career-spanning setlists. The lineup includes Hook alongside a rotating group of musicians, including his son Jack Bates, supporting his continued reinterpretation of post-punk and alternative dance classics.
