Bio
Primal Scream is a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Glasgow in the 1980s, widely known for fusing rock with dance music and shaping the UK’s indie and electronic crossover sound. The band formed in the early 1980s and became a major force in UK alternative music after their breakthrough in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Fronted by Bobby Gillespie, they evolved from a jangly indie band into one of the most influential genre-blending acts in British music. Their landmark album Screamadelica (1991) is often credited with helping define the early 90s rave-meets-rock culture.
