Bio
Pseudo Echo is a legendary Australian band formed in 1982 in Melbourne, Victoria. They became one of the most popular acts in the country during the 1980s, blending new wave, synth‑pop and electronic rock with catchy melodies and stylish visuals. Led by founding member Brian Canham (vocals, guitar and keyboards), Pseudo Echo scored multiple Australian Top 20 hits including *“Listening”*, *“A Beat for You”*, *“Don’t Go”*, *“Love an Adventure”* and *“Living in a Dream.”* Their best‑known international success was a cover of Lipps Inc.’s “Funky Town”, which hit No. 1 in Australia and New Zealand and reached the Top 10 in the US, UK and Canada. Their 1984 debut album *Autumnal Park* and follow‑ups *Love an Adventure* (1985) and *Race* (1988) helped define the Aussie new wave sound of the era. After disbanding in 1990, they re‑formed in 1998 and continue to perform and release music, keeping their classic synth‑pop and electronic rock legacy alive.
