PUSCHA is the solo project of Jacob Richards, a Melbourne‑based experimental electronic musician, composer, producer and film score artist. Performing under the name Puscha, he creates hypnotic, post‑ambient and minimalist soundscapes that blend electronic textures with abstract, cinematic influences. His work draws from 20th‑century classical, kosmische, world music, psychedelic and ambient techno traditions, exploring spatial, psychoacoustic and immersive listening experiences rather than conventional song or dance structures. Jacob’s background in filmmaking (Masters in Film Producing) informs his approach to sound, often integrating audio with visual elements and cinematic sensibilities. Puscha has performed live electronic sets at experimental music events, tours album launches such as Not That Special, and collaborates with other artists in immersive performance contexts. Puscha’s music is released on platforms like Bandcamp and Apple Music, and he is active in Australia’s experimental music scene, using modular synthesis, tape loops and textured compositions to provoke deeper listening and emotional catharsis.
