Bio
A faithful servant of the electronic music nerds unit, RDS tames machines and connects sounds with profound knowledge and childlike curiosity. Amsterdam-based producer and DJ has his own take on contemporary club music, prioritizing detail, well-timed flow, and character. His approach to a live set is outsider and genuinely honest – RDS aims to show listeners how he records music, improvising arrangements, mixing, and dubbing on the go using only hardware. Eerie techno, chugging minimal, or emotive tech-house: RDS makes and plays music embodying modern sleekness while homaging the sonics of the past. With over a dozen releases across a cohort of well-known labels, his productions feel at home both on the intimate dancefloors of small venues and in the big rooms of festivals. Performing live, playing a DJ set, or jamming in the studio, RDS translates his distinct vision with depth, meaning, and an innate sense of spontaneity.
