Bio
RIKAS is a German indie pop band from Stuttgart, Germany, known for their smooth blend of indie pop, funk grooves, and laid-back guitar melodies. The group formed in the mid-2010s and quickly gained attention for their sunny sound, catchy hooks, and polished production. The band consists of Sammy van Dijk, Ferdinand Schwarz, Gregor Dausch, and Lukas Lindner, who met through school and local music circles before starting the project together. Their music mixes elements of indie pop with soft rock, funk rhythms, and soulful vocals, often drawing comparisons to modern alternative pop acts and classic West Coast influences. RIKAS began building a following with early singles such as “Savage” and “Overthinking,” which highlighted their upbeat melodies and groove-driven style. They later released full-length projects including Short Stories (2019) and Goodbye Sunshine (2022), expanding their audience across Europe and beyond. With a reputation for energetic live performances and feel-good songwriting, RIKAS continue to tour internationally and remain a prominent act in the European indie pop scene.
