Bio
Rocket from the Crypt are an American rock band formed in San Diego, California in 1990, led by vocalist/guitarist John Reis (also known as Speedo). They became known for a high-energy blend of punk rock and classic rock influences, with a strong emphasis on live performance, horn sections, and chaotic stage presence. They rose through the 1990s underground rock scene, signing to major label Interscope in the mid-90s while still retaining a raw, punk-driven identity. The band became especially respected for their intense touring schedule and unpredictable, sweat-heavy live shows. After disbanding in 2005, they later reunited for live shows and select releases, maintaining cult status within punk and alternative rock circles.
