Rollerball Rock (commonly known as Rollerball) is an Australian stoner rock and hard rock band from the Gold Coast, Queensland. Formed in 1998, the band is known for their loud, riff-heavy sound that blends classic Australian pub rock with stoner rock, psychedelia, and 70s-inspired hard rock. Their music is built around massive guitar riffs, heavy grooves, and raw, high-energy performances. Rollerball have developed a reputation as one of Australia’s most intense live rock bands, drawing influence from acts like AC/DC, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Thin Lizzy, and Blue Öyster Cult. Over their career, they have released several full-length albums including Lost in Space, SuperStructure, Oversize, and Submarine, each showcasing their mix of desert rock heaviness and classic rock swagger. The band has toured extensively, sharing stages with major international rock acts and becoming a staple of Australia’s underground and stoner rock scene. Their sound is often described as “no-nonsense rock ’n’ roll” — loud, direct, and built for live performance rather than studio polish.
