Bio
Rostam Batmanglij is an American musician, songwriter, and producer best known as a founding member of the indie rock band Vampire Weekend and for his later work as a solo artist and high-profile producer. Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in a musically educated household, he studied classical composition before moving into indie and pop production. With Vampire Weekend, he helped define the band’s early sound: a blend of **indie rock, baroque pop, and global musical influences**. After leaving the band in 2016, Rostam expanded his production work, collaborating with a wide range of artists across indie, pop, and alternative music, while also releasing solo material under his first name.
