Ruby Jones is a Melbourne‑based Australian singer‑songwriter and musician whose expressive voice and rich songwriting have made her one of the city’s most intriguing emerging artists. Born and raised in Melbourne, she initially cut her teeth on the local live music scene before recording and touring internationally as a vocalist with Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes. After that band disbanded in 2015, Ruby teamed up with guitarist and songwriting partner Jules Pascoe (of Husky/Jazz Party/Jaala) and, with bassist Joel Loukes and drummer Selwyn Cozens, began creating her own work that blends heartfelt lyricism with evocative arrangements steeped in folk‑rock and psychedelia. Her debut album The Woman Who Loves You and singles like “Make It Out” and “Feeling of Falling” showcase her searing vocals and richly emotional themes of heartbreak, loss and redemption. Ruby’s sound combines indie, pop and rock elements into a poetic, dream‑laden sonic palette that has earned attention on platforms such as triple j and beyond.
