Bio
Ryan Oakes is a Virginia-born, Los Angeles-based rapper, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for blending hip-hop, rock, pop-punk, and alternative music into an emotionally charged modern sound. Rising independently through platforms like Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud, he built a large global fanbase through raw, personal songwriting and high-energy releases exploring mental health, relationships, anxiety, and self-destruction. Inspired by artists such as Eminem, Linkin Park, and Hollywood Undead, Ryan Oakes combines aggressive rap verses, melodic choruses, rock instrumentation, and pop-punk energy. His breakout tracks including “Drinking About You,” “NUMB,” “2L8,” and “BURNOUT” helped him accumulate hundreds of millions of streams as an independent artist before signing with Nettwerk Music Group in 2026. His music is recognised for balancing emotional vulnerability with energetic production, often mixing nostalgic 2000s-inspired rap-rock with modern alternative and trap influences. Collaborations with artists like State Champs and Chrissy Costanza further pushed his crossover sound between alternative rock and hip-hop scenes.
