Samira is a queer Palestinian DJ based in Berlin. Starting his journey in clubs as an androgynous dancer, he fell in love with House music and shifted to behind the decks. In past years, he was a resident DJ of Kabareet, the beloved Palestinian club in Haifa that sadly shut down permanently in 2024. Samira contributed to the club's programming and played a pivotal role in shaping its vibrant community. He co-curated with Nene H a compilation released on Umay Records. The compilation presents collaborations between electronic Palestinian artists and their counterparts from various regions (Lebanon, Egypt, Ghana, Kurdistan, Syria, Iran, and Armenia, among others), aiming to elevate their voices and spread their message of unity, resilience, and hope.
