Bio
Samurai Pizza Cats are a German metalcore/deathcore band from Castrop-Rauxel, formed in 2021 by guitarist Daniel Haniß (Electric Callboy), vocalist Sebastian Fischer, and drummer Stefan Buchwald, with bassist Stefan Reufer joining the lineup. The band quickly developed a reputation for energetic live shows and their self-described “Catcore” sound. Their music combines metalcore and deathcore with electronic/synth elements, nu-metal influences, catchy melodies and heavy guitar riffs. Their playful identity is reflected in their anime-inspired name, humorous lyrics and deliberately chaotic aesthetic. The band released their debut album YOU'RE HELLCOME in 2023, which reached the German Top 100 album charts. Their second album, Press Start, was released in March 2026 through Century Media Records and expands their sound with more clean vocals, varied styles and nostalgic influences from 1980s/90s games, cartoons and arcade culture.
