Sebastian Bach (born Sebastian Philip Bierk on April 3, 1968, in Freeport, Bahamas; raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and actor best known as the iconic frontman of the multi-platinum band Skid Row. Bach rose to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s with powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence that helped define the era of glam and heavy metal. With Skid Row, Bach released several landmark albums including Skid Row (1989) and Slave to the Grind (1991), the latter debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — a rare feat for a heavy metal album at the time. After parting ways with the band in 1996, he launched a solo career, releasing albums such as Angel Down (2007) and Give ’Em Hell (2014), showcasing his blend of hard-rock grit and melodic vocals. Beyond music, Bach has also appeared on Broadway (Jekyll & Hyde, The Rocky Horror Show) and television (Gilmore Girls, Trailer Park Boys, Sing Your Face Off). In 2024, he released Child Within the Man, marking a return to his classic sound and reaffirming his enduring presence in rock music.
