Bio
Shipyard are an Australian instrumental doom/sludge duo consisting of Gaz (drums) and Brad (bass). Their music is built around crushing low-register riffs, huge amplifiers, heavy volume and slow, meditative compositions. They cite influences including Om, Earth, Khanate, Sunn O))), Primitive Man and The Melvins, alongside post-metal and experimental heavy acts such as Pelican, Bell Witch and Sumac. Their releases include Swing Bridge (2024), a two-track, nearly 27-minute recording, and Fathom, released digitally in May 2026 with two 18-minute tracks. They have toured extensively around Australia and Japan, including a Japan tour in October 2025.
