Bio
Shluffy is the musical project of Ariel Pacanowski, based in Byron Bay Hinterland, Australia. He released his debut EP Sol Searching in mid-2025. The EP is six tracks, fully written, recorded and mixed by Shluffy himself in a small studio dubbed “The Hobbit Hole”. His sound is introspective and rich in texture: mixing dreamy vocals, pulsating grooves, funk/disco rhythm, psych pop/soul influences. The work explores identity, reflection, place, and mood. The name “Shluffy” comes from Yiddish (meaning “to sleep”), was initially a DJ alter ego; also inspired by childhood memories (his grandmother saying good night). The idea fits a dreamy / liminal / psychedelic / relaxed-yet-deep aesthetic.
