Bio
Shockwave are an Australian metal band formed by former members of Mattersphere, built around a shared passion for heavy riffs, powerful songwriting, and classic metal energy. Founded by guitarists Brendon and Rob after their departure from Mattersphere, the project quickly gained momentum with the addition of bassist Doug and drummer Craig, bringing together a lineup of experienced musicians from the local metal scene. Drawing on traditional and modern metal influences, Shockwave deliver a hard-hitting sound driven by dual-guitar attack, thunderous rhythms, and an uncompromising approach to heavy music. Since their formation, the band has built a reputation through live performances, festival appearances, and the release of their debut EP, sharing stages with notable metal acts across Australia.
