Shugorei

Shugorei is an experimental music duo formed in 2019 by Japanese percussionist Nozomi Omote and Brisbane-based electronic composer Thomas Green. The duo combines live percussion, vibraphone, analogue synthesizers, digital samples, and sound design, blending intelligent dance music (IDM), contemporary classical music, and improvisation. Their experimental sound explores the intersection of acoustic instruments and electronic textures, creating immersive and unconventional musical experiences.
