Bio
Sir Chloe is an American indie rock project led by singer‑songwriter Dana Foote, known for blending gritty guitar hooks, sharp pop sensibilities and emotionally raw vocals into a distinctive alternative sound. The project began in 2017 while Foote was studying music composition at Bennington College in Vermont, where she formed the band as part of a college performance instead of a traditional thesis. Sir Chloe first gained widespread attention with the release of the single “Michelle” in 2019, which went viral on TikTok and helped the band build an international following. Their debut EP, Party Favors (2020), amassed significant streams and critical buzz, and was followed by their first full‑length album I Am the Dog in 2023. In 2025, they released their sophomore album Swallow the Knife, further showcasing their evolving indie rock sound. Sir Chloe’s music is known for its rich combination of angsty indie rock energy and melodic hooks, drawing inspiration from a wide range of influences and showcasing Foote’s expressive vocal delivery and creative songwriting.
