SKELS is an MC and beatmaker from Marrickville in Sydney’s Inner West, known for crafting soulful, jazz-infused hip-hop driven by warm production, thoughtful lyricism, and a deep connection to local creative communities. His discography blends laid-back grooves, sample-rich textures, and introspective storytelling, drawing from the classic sounds of boom-bap, neo-soul, and modern underground hip-hop. A core member of the Sydney/Blue Mountains collective Who Knows, SKELS contributes both production and vocals, helping shape the group’s eclectic, collaborative sound. He is also one half of SKELS & LEAH, a joint project with vocalist and keyboardist Leah Wilkie of Sydney outfit Kyoshi—a partnership that merges his smooth, jazz-leaning production with her emotive neo-soul and alt-R&B sensibilities.
