Bio
Skinnyman (real name **Kevin Danquah**) emerged from the London hip-hop scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Known for his raw lyricism and powerful live performances, he built a reputation through freestyle battles, pirate radio, and collaborations with other UK rap artists. His debut album *Council Estate of Mind* (2004) became a cult classic in British rap, blending sharp political commentary with detailed narratives about poverty, policing, and everyday life in inner-city London. The album is often cited as one of the most important UK hip-hop releases of its era. Beyond recorded music, Skinnyman has been active in spoken word, theatre, and community arts, using his platform to discuss social issues affecting urban communities.
