Bio
Skizzy Mars is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from New York City, known for his smooth, melodic style that blends hip-hop with pop and alternative influences. He first gained attention in the early 2010s through SoundCloud-era releases and college circuit popularity, building a fanbase with laid-back, introspective tracks that often focus on relationships, nightlife, and coming-of-age themes. His breakout exposure came during a wave of New York internet-era rap artists who used streaming platforms to grow independently before signing to larger industry networks. Skizzy Mars is closely associated with the alternative hip-hop movement, often collaborating with other artists from the same digital-era NYC scene. His music tends to be more melodic and polished compared to traditional boom-bap rap, leaning into catchy hooks and atmospheric production.
