Sky Eater is a Byron Bay–based duo made up of Chelsea Skyeater and TK Bassdread, known for their dreamy blend of trip-hop, dub, soul, jazz, reggae, and electronic influences. Their signature sound—often described as “mermaid trip-hop dub”—combines lush vocals, deep basslines, live looping, and atmospheric production. Formed around 2018, the pair creates emotive, cinematic music inspired by artists like Portishead and Morcheeba, and they have performed across Australia and New Zealand, building a reputation for immersive, soulful live shows.
