Bio
Snail Mail is the indie rock project of Lindsey Jordan, an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Maryland. She began recording music in her teens and quickly gained attention in the mid-2010s DIY indie scene after releasing early material that showcased a distinctive blend of melodic guitar work, emotionally direct lyrics, and understated vocals. Her breakthrough came with her debut album “Lush” (2018), which was widely praised and established her as one of the leading voices in modern indie rock. Snail Mail’s music is known for its confessional songwriting style, often focusing on themes like relationships, identity, emotional growth, and self-reflection. The project has evolved from lo-fi bedroom recordings into more expansive, polished indie rock productions while retaining a strong emotional core. Her follow-up work further developed her sound, incorporating more layered instrumentation and a broader sonic palette while maintaining the intimate lyrical perspective that defines her style.
