Sofi Tukker (stylized SOFI TUKKER) is an internationally acclaimed electronic music duo from New York City, USA, known for their energetic, genre-blending dance sound. The group consists of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, who met while studying at Brown University in 2014 and formed the act soon after. They first gained global attention with their 2016 debut single “Drinkee”, which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording, and continued to build acclaim with hits like “Best Friend” and “Purple Hat.” Their work often combines house and electronic dance music with vibrant Brazilian, Latin and world influences, including Portuguese lyrics inspired by Sophie’s time living in Brazil. Sofi Tukker have released multiple albums and EPs, toured the world, and performed at major festivals such as Coachella and Ultra, with their music featured in commercials, films and games.
