Soledad Brothers are an American rock trio formed in Toledo, Ohio in the mid-1990s. They are known for a raw, blues-infused garage rock sound that blends punk energy with traditional blues structures. The band was formed by Johnny Walker (guitar/vocals), Ben Swank (drums), and Johnny’s brother Ben Smith (later replaced in various lineups). They were part of the broader 2000s American garage rock revival scene, though their style leaned more heavily on dirty blues and primitive rock ’n’ roll than polished indie rock. They gained underground recognition through relentless touring and association with acts like The White Stripes (Jack White was a supporter and collaborator in their early career). The band released several albums in the early 2000s before disbanding, leaving behind a cult following.
