Bio
Solkyri is a Sydney-based instrumental post-rock band known for blending cinematic atmospheres with explosive crescendos, emotional intensity, and intricate guitar-driven arrangements. Formed in the late 2000s, the group has built a strong reputation within Australia’s progressive and post-rock scene through immersive live performances and emotionally charged releases. Their music combines soaring melodies, heavy dynamic shifts, ambient textures, and math-rock influenced precision, drawing comparisons to bands such as Mogwai, 65daysofstatic, and Explosions in the Sky. On triple j Unearthed, the band describes their album *Mount Pleasant* as exploring themes of deception, vulnerability, personal reflection, and rediscovery, pushing both the aggressive and intimate sides of their sound. Members listed on their Unearthed profile include Adam Mostek, Andrew Pearsall, Nicholas Hall, and Ryan Fitz-Henry.
