Bio
Sonic Reducer are a punk rock band from Canberra, Australia, known for their raw energy and confrontational live shows. Formed in the early 2020s, the four-piece — Cormac (vocals), Ryleigh (guitar), Louie (bass), and Lachlan (drums) — deliver an explosive mix of punk, post-punk, and garage rock. Their music channels the grit of classic punk icons like Iggy Pop and The Clash, while tackling modern themes such as insecurity, toxic masculinity, and societal pressure. Their 2024 debut EP Skewball earned national radio play and critical acclaim for its unfiltered sound and rebellious spirit. Now rising fast through the Australian scene, Sonic Reducer have built a reputation for chaotic yet precise live performances and authentic DIY attitude.
