Bio
STAHR is a dream pop / desert rock band from Brisbane, Australia, carving out a distinctive space in the alternative rock scene. Fronted by Samuel Shepherd and Grace Harris, the project blends gritty rock energy with lush, melodic pop textures and soulful undertones. Their music is driven by raw, emotionally charged lyricism that explores the chaos and beauty of everyday life, delivered through moody, magnetic songwriting. STAHR’s sound has been compared to artists like Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Wet Leg, and Lola Young, combining garage-leaning rock elements with modern indie-pop sensibilities. With growing attention from releases and live shows, STAHR continue to build momentum as an emerging Australian act in the indie/alt-rock landscape.
