Bio
Stem Steller is a psychedelic rock band from Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia, known for their lush, immersive sound that fuses ambient textures, dance-floor rhythms, and soulful vocals. Emerging from the local festival circuit, the band has carved a unique place in the Australian psychedelic scene with their melodic yet groove-driven compositions. Their 2024 single Electrical Moves was praised for its “psychedelic-tinged earworm” quality and smooth, soulful energy, capturing the essence of the group’s live sound. The track was inspired by their experience at the Wave Rock Music Festival 2023 — a moment that defined the creative evolution of the band’s sonic identity. Stem Steller’s music blends hypnotic guitar layers, driving percussion, and dream-like vocals, creating an atmosphere that transitions seamlessly between introspective and euphoric. They continue to gain recognition across Australia’s alternative and indie scenes through Triple J Unearthed and various festival appearances.
