Stevie Rachelle (born Steven Howard Hanseter on 2 March 1966 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA) is an iconic glam metal / hard rock vocalist, songwriter, and music entrepreneur best known as the lead singer of the influential Sunset Strip band Tuff. He rose to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a driving force in the glam metal scene, delivering soaring vocals and big‑chorus rock anthems that earned the band a dedicated cult following. Rachelle joined Tuff in 1987, shortly after the group formed, and fronted the band through its major label debut *What Comes Around Goes Around* (1991), which featured the hit *“I Hate Kissing You Goodbye”* — a video that reached the top of MTV’s Dial MTV charts during the era’s hair metal heyday. He has remained synonymous with the band’s mix of glam, hard rock, and melodic hooks ever since. Beyond his work as a singer, Stevie is also a producer and music industry figure, having founded his own label, RLS Records (“Record Labels Suck”), and served as the creative force behind the popular rock website Metal Sludge, making him a respected voice in 80s/90s rock history. Throughout his long career, Rachelle has remained active on the road and in the studio, celebrating Tuff’s legacy while continuing to bring glam metal energy to audiences worldwide — including multiple tours in Australia where fans get to experience the classic big‑hair rock sound live.
