Bio
Stimpies are an Australian rock and roll band from Naarm (Melbourne), Victoria, known for their high-energy, DIY-driven approach to live music. Formed in 2018, the band consists of close friends who began playing together through grassroots backyard shows before quickly building a reputation in the local live scene. Their sound blends garage rock, psychedelic rock, punk, indie rock, blues, country, and Australiana influences, creating a raw and chaotic but melodic style often described as “controlled chaos” on stage. They are recognised for their intense live performances, dual-vocal energy, and gritty guitar-driven sound. Stimpies have released music independently, including their debut album Spent the Night with a Spirit, and have toured across Australia, gaining attention through the national live circuit and community radio support. Their work reflects a strong DIY ethos and a focus on capturing the energy of live performance in their recordings.
