Sunglasz Vendor is a Bristol-based trio formed in 2023 by musicians from the city's experimental underground scene, including members of Bingo Fury, Ex-Agent, Big Fuss, and Grandchild. The band emerged from a desire to combine avant-garde musical instincts with the direct appeal of rock-radio hooks, emo introspection, and early-2000s alternative rock nostalgia. The band's lineup has featured Rafi Cohen (vocals, guitar), Eve Rosenberg (bass, vocals), and drummers including Harry Irvine and later Finn Hodgson. Their music blends post-punk, math rock, indie rock, emo, and post-hardcore influences, while maintaining a strong melodic core inspired by the rock music many of them grew up with. Their debut album, Unwinding (2025), was recorded in the basement of Bristol venue The Louisiana with producer William Carkeet. The record explores themes of modern alienation, adulthood, and the gradual erosion of youthful ambition, all delivered through a mix of angular guitars, intricate rhythms, and emotionally charged songwriting. In 2026, the band followed with Break Glass, a more expansive and aggressive record inspired by turn-of-the-millennium alternative rock. The album draws influence from bands such as Foo Fighters, Blink-182, Sum 41, The Offspring, and Linkin Park, while filtering those influences through a contemporary art-rock and DIY lens.
