Bio
Sunk Loto are an Australian alternative metal band formed on the Gold Coast, Queensland, in 1997. Rising to prominence while still in their teens, the band signed with Sony Music Australia at an average age of just 16 and quickly became one of Australia's most notable heavy acts of the early 2000s. Their albums *Big Picture Lies* and *Between Birth and Death* both reached the ARIA Top 50, helping establish their reputation for blending heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and emotional intensity. After touring extensively and sharing stages with major international acts, Sunk Loto disbanded in 2007 before reuniting in 2022. Since their return, they have released new music including “The Gallows Wait” and “God Complex,” marking their first new material in nearly two decades and introducing a heavier modern edge to their sound.
