Surf Hat is a psych-surf/indie rock duo originally from Squamish, British Columbia, Canada, featuring Jon Allan and Evan Camm as core members. Their sound blends dreamy surf rock, jangle-laden guitars, lush harmonies, and psychedelic textures, taking inspiration from classic surf and garage influences like The Ventures and Allah-Las, while adding modern indie and folk sensibilities. The band earned tens of millions of streams globally with their reverb-soaked psych-surf sound and quickly built a devoted international fanbase. They’ve released albums since their 2022 self-titled debut and continued with Modern World Blues in late 2025 — a record that captures both nostalgia and fresh sonic depth. Surf Hat has been touring extensively, performing in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Australia in early 2026, bringing their live psych-surf rock experience to venues including Northcote Social Club (Melbourne) and shows in Byron Bay, Brisbane, Wollongong, and Sydney.
