SVDDEN DEATH (real name Daniel James Howland) is an American DJ and producer from San Jose, California, known for his dark, aggressive style of bass music. Since launching the SVDDEN DEATH project in 2015, he has become one of the leading names in modern dubstep and riddim, earning a reputation for crushing sound design, horror-inspired visuals, and high-energy live performances. His music blends heavy basslines, cinematic atmospheres, and metal-inspired aesthetics. In addition to his main project, he performs as VOYD, a darker alter ego featuring theatrical stage production, eerie visuals, and immersive storytelling. Popular releases include Behemoth, Terrible, Confusion Spell, Crusade (with Marshmello), and Blood On Me (with SLANDER). His performances at major festivals such as Lost Lands, EDC Las Vegas, and Lollapalooza have helped establish him as one of the most recognizable artists in the global bass music scene.
