Bio
Sweet Boy Sonnet is an electronic artist, producer, vocalist, and songwriter from Eora/Sydney, Australia, known for fusing abrasive electronic production with punk energy and experimental rock influences. Their solo project explores a raw, genre-blurring sound inspired by artists such as The Dare, PJ Harvey, Jockstrap, and Nine Inch Nails, combining dancefloor-driven beats, distorted textures, and emotionally charged songwriting. Alongside their solo work, Sweet Boy Sonnet fronts the Sydney-based band Sonnet and the Breadboys, where they expand their sound through a vibrant mix of punk-pop, new wave, funk, alternative rock, and electronic music. Whether performing solo or with the band, Sweet Boy Sonnet has earned recognition for fearless experimentation, energetic performances, and a distinctive approach that pushes beyond traditional genre boundaries.
