Sylvan Esso is an American electronic pop duo formed by vocalist Amelia Meath (formerly of the folk trio Mountain Man) and producer Nick Sanborn. The pair emerged with their self-titled debut album in 2014, earning critical acclaim for combining intimate songwriting with inventive electronic production. Their music balances warm, human vocals with minimalist beats, synth textures, and experimental pop arrangements. Over the years, they've become known for dynamic live performances that transform studio recordings into energetic electronic shows through live vocals, looping, sampling, and synthesizers.
