Bio
Taaz is an emerging DJ from London’s electronic and tribal house scene. She blends tech house beats and high-energy electronic with drums, sounds, and instruments inspired by West Asia and Africa, celebrating her Turkish Cypriot heritage. Taaz is a London-born DJ and event curator weaving together tech house, tribal rhythms and diasporic sounds from across the globe, shaped by her Turkish-Cypriot roots. Her sets thread together nostalgic, ethereal textures and high energy in equal measure, always with the goal to make the dance floor feel like a place for multicultural joy, togetherness, and escapism. Her live performances include Glastonbury Festival and the Southbank festival, and often features on guest shows with Foundation FM and Voices Radio. She most recently set up her own club night, SILK, which is dedicated to uplifting female, minority and queer DJs - a natural extension of her collaborative work with NAFS نَفْس, the community platform celebrating Queer SWANA creatives.
