Tam Vantage is the solo project of Melbourne musician and songwriter **Tam Matlakowski**, known for his work in Australian indie and underground rock bands including The Stevens and Pop Singles. His music blends jangly indie rock, alternative rock, art-pop, post-punk, and lo-fi experimentation, combining melodic songwriting with introspective lyrics and fuzzed-out guitar textures. Tam Vantage first emerged with releases like *Setting Sun EP* (2015), *Life In High Definition* (2015), and *Show Me To The Sun* (2017), building a reputation within Melbourne’s DIY indie scene for emotionally reflective songwriting and melodic guitar-driven arrangements. During 2020, he released an extensive series of home-recorded demo collections (*Demos 1–4*), showcasing a more experimental and intimate side of his music through instrumentals, sound experiments, piano sketches, and lo-fi recordings. His 2021 album *Laughing Gas & Apple Pie* expanded his sound into more energetic, fuzz-heavy alternative rock while retaining the melodic and melancholic qualities of earlier releases. Across his work, Tam balances DIY indie aesthetics with art-rock experimentation and classic Australian guitar-pop sensibilities.
