Tawa Drive is an indie dream pop project led by New Zealand-born musician Evan Scrimgeour, now based in Queensland, Australia. Emerging from DIY home recordings and collaborative sessions with friends, the project blends hazy dream pop textures, indie rock emotion, and atmospheric lo-fi production. Their music captures themes of nostalgia, change, memory, and emotional distance through soft vocals, layered guitars, and reflective songwriting. Their 2024 release *PROCEED* showcases a cinematic and intimate sound influenced by dream pop, slowcore, and folktronica, with songs built around ambient melodies, emotional lyricism, and washed-out guitar tones.
