Σtella (pronounced Stella; born Stella Chronopoulou) is a Greek singer‑songwriter and pop artist originally from Athens, Greece. She’s best known for her sleek, melodic blend of indie pop, retro‑inspired songwriting, and warm psychedelic textures, which has earned her a significant international audience — including over three million monthly listeners on Spotify. Growing up in a quiet suburb near Athens informed her laid‑back aesthetic, and she has developed her sound through a mix of English‑language pop and occasional Greek vocals. After gaining acclaim in Greece, Σtella made her international breakthrough with the Sub Pop Records debut Up and Away in 2022, which captured attention for its dreamy yet hook‑driven songs. Her fifth studio album, Adagio (released in April 2025), is a warm, 27‑minute meditation on love, rest, and time — characterised by nylon‑string guitar, featherlight percussion, and subtly psychedelic keyboards. The record features both English lyrics and, for the first time, songs in Greek, such as “Omorfo Mou” and a tender cover of a 1960s Greek classic. Σtella writes and produces her material with a strong visual and artistic sensibility rooted in her background in fine art, and collaborates with international songwriters and producers. Her music frequently draws on influences from classic pop, vintage grooves, disco, Brazilian music, and Greek pop traditions, creating a sound that is both nostalgic and contemporary. In 2026 she embarked on her first Australian tour, performing in cities including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth — bringing her lush, eclectic pop sound to new audiences across the country.
