Bio
Temporary Blessings is a Melbourne‑based Australian musical project led by veteran trumpet player and composer Liam McGorry, assembled as a collective of instrumentalists from Melbourne’s vibrant cinematic soul and jazz scene. The group was formed to realise McGorry’s compositions inspired by 1960s Italian & French soundtrack music, film noir, giallo and library music, capturing a cinematic and soulful atmosphere in their recordings. Their debut album Sumbisori (released December 2025) showcases emotive string arrangements, bold horns, immersive grooves and live ensemble interplay that reflects both Melbourne’s rich musical community and McGorry’s deep experience in soul‑influenced ensembles. Temporary Blessings includes members from acts such as Surprise Chef, Karate Boogaloo, Saskwatch and Let Your Hair Down, and has released singles like Fata Morgana and Cold Blood ahead of the full album.
