The Bevis Frond are a British psychedelic rock and indie rock project led by Nick Saloman, formed in London in the mid-1980s. Originally starting as a solo home-recording project, The Bevis Frond grew into a long-running band associated with the UK underground and indie scenes. Saloman self-released early material through his own label Woronzow Records, helping the project build a cult following outside of mainstream industry channels. The band became known for their lo-fi psychedelic rock sound, long guitar-driven songs, and highly prolific output, releasing dozens of albums over several decades. Their music blends elements of 1960s psychedelic rock, folk rock, and indie guitar music, often with extended instrumental passages and a raw, home-recorded aesthetic in earlier releases. They have maintained a strong cult status within UK indie and psych-rock circles, respected for their independence and consistency rather than commercial success.
