The Cat’s Miaow is an Australian indie‑pop band formed in Melbourne in 1992. Originally a home‑recording duo, the lineup expanded to include Kerrie Bolton (vocals) and Cameron Smith (drums). Their music features lo‑fi, jangly guitars, soft melodies, and introspective lyrics, creating a quiet, dreamy indie‑pop sound. While they had modest domestic success, they developed a cult following internationally in the 1990s indie‑pop underground.
