Bio
The Chats are a punk rock band from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, formed in 2016. Known for their raw “shed rock” sound, they gained global attention with their viral 2017 single Smoko. The band consists of Eamon Sandwith (vocals/bass), Matt Boggis (drums), and Josh Hardy (guitar). Their music blends fast, abrasive punk energy with humorous, working-class Australian storytelling. They have released two studio albums — High Risk Behaviour (2020) and Get Fucked (2022) — and are celebrated for chaotic, high-energy live shows and a strong DIY ethos.
