Bio
The Gnomes are a four‑piece rock band from Frankston, Melbourne, Australia known for their energetic live shows and fresh take on classic garage‑beat‑inspired rock. What began as a solo bedroom recording project by teen singer‑songwriter and guitarist Jay Millar evolved into a full band lineup when he recruited Ned Capp (guitar), Olly Katsianis (bass) and Ethan Robins (drums) to bring the songs to life on stage. Blending influences from The Easybeats, The Kinks and early Beatles with modern indie energy, The Gnomes quickly became part of Melbourne’s vibrant scene, gigging alongside acts like Skegss, Drunk Mums, Cosmic Psychos and more. In 2025 they announced their debut self‑titled album, featuring jangly guitars, catchy hooks and raw rock’n’roll drive a sound rooted in ’60s beat pop and garage rock but powered with youthful spirit and contemporary edge.
