The Groundswell are a Melbourne‑based indie‑rock four‑piece formed by friends who started writing together during their final year of high school. Their debut song “Ocean View” dropped in May 2020 and quickly became a local favourite. The band’s sound blends energetic guitar‑driven rock with melodic hooks and a nostalgic nod to 70s/90s influences such as Spacey Jane, Powderfinger and Silverchair. Their 2023 single “Stuck” has been described as «heartbreak in a beautiful bottle», showing the band maturing in craft and identity.
