Bio
The Growlers are an American rock band formed in Dana Point, California in 2006. Known for pioneering their self-described “beach goth” sound, the band blends psychedelic rock, surf influences, and lo-fi garage rock with dark, reverb-heavy aesthetics and crooning vocals. They gained a cult following through early releases such as Are You In or Out? and Hung at Heart, before achieving broader recognition with albums like Chinese Fountain and City Club. The Growlers became known for their distinctive style, prolific output, and extensive touring, playing a significant role in shaping modern psychedelic and surf-influenced indie rock.
