Bio
The Head and the Heart is a Seattle-born indie-folk/indie-rock band formed in 2009 by songwriters Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell. Built on rich vocal harmonies, acoustic-driven songwriting, and emotional lyricism, the band rose to prominence with their self-released debut album featuring “Rivers and Roads” and “Lost in My Mind.” Now a widely recognized act with multiple successful albums and international touring, they blend heartfelt folk sensibilities with expansive, anthemic indie-rock arrangements.
